Advancing Your Purpose and Mission

Advancing your purpose and mission is the most creative and important work you will ever do. Learning to move through this terrain with a sense of clarity and joy, and being able to sustain yourself through the ups and downs ahead is the proving ground for all the work you’ve done to get this far.

Understanding and activating your life purpose and mission and then learning how to craft a compelling vision and plan to achieve it is a source of tremendous personal power. Learning to do the level of self-reflection required for this is a potent life skill with many useful applications.

The world is filled with hard working people who’ve never learned how to align their efforts with their hearts and dreams or how to focus their energies for true success and fulfillment.

Mastering this art requires learning to calibrate our consciousness, attune our hearts, and direct our energies at will. And, because everything we do in life intimately connects to others, the ability to achieve our purpose and vision demands clear moral intelligence and interpersonal mastery. If you do this well your work in the world will nurture you and uplift the world for the rest of your life.

Interpersonal Transformation

As humans our ability to share love and feel connection, to be in community with a sense of ease and to collaborate well with others--all stem from our innate sense of self in relation to others. Wherever we are in our personal transformation is perfectly mirrored in the quality of our relations with others. 

As this awareness grows we repeatedly realize that the only thing that needs to change to radically alter any relationship is our own state of mind and how we show up in any given moment.

Personal Transformation

Transformation is not a pumping in of information. It unfolds through unblocking and naturally expressing innate intelligence, understanding and soul qualities which our being intuitively knows because we’ve been unconsciously preparing to take the next step in our unfoldment.  

Making the changes we want still requires focus and effort because no matter what we are inspired to be, our habitual physical, mental and emotional behaviors are the only instruments we've known. We may have great inspiration and true potential but until we can access and use it consistently in the battle din of activity, it’s not doing us or anyone else any good.

Awareness > Management > Mastery

Personal transformation is about systematically accessing and channeling our enlightened inspirations and intuitive understanding of who we are into more reliable ways of behaving. It’s a step by step process that moves us gradually from awareness, visualization, and practice to experiencing confidence and mastery.

  • Introspection: is an intuitive process using a series of tools to help us inventory and form a visceral awareness of all the ways we’ve been limiting our success for decades.  

  • Vision and Intention: As we get more clear on who we are we naturally form a vision and powerful new intentions that propel us towards new goals and achievements.

  • Visualization: As this work progresses we begin visualizing new ways of operating and engaging the world that unleash a greater sense of power, inspiration and momentum.

  • Affirmations: are a powerful way to retool the mental and emotional patterns that fuel new behaviors.

  • Practice: We intentionally design ways to progressively practice new behaviors in the real world to steadily grow new skills and build confidence and greater expertise.

  • Mastery: We gradually discover a sense of confidence around new ways of being and behaving that have been incorporated into our new normal.

Foundational Meditation and Mindfulness Practices

We will never realize the enlightened state of the world we seek unless our efforts to change it are grounded in the power and wisdom of our highest consciousness. 

Meditation in the true sense is concentration on the universal intelligence that permeates all life. As we learn to practice meditation more deeply we begin to see the transformative impact these ancient practices have in shaping positive conditions in every aspect of our lives. 

Each individual has a unique path to realization. Honoring this I support all genuine mindfulness practices. Regardless of what lineage you follow, the fundamental methods for calibrating consciousness through meditation are universal.

Having practiced scientific meditation as taught by Paramahansa Yogananda for over 45 years, I've seen that the most valuable methods for enhancing meditation are often overlooked or not readily understood for many years.

As a dharma coach my focus is not teaching new meditation techniques in the manner of a meditation teacher. Instead I employ coaching tools to enhance your own reflective learning process so you more quickly discover the attitudes and practices that will maximize your contemplative results and benefits.
